How to Find Alien Creatures

Hello, it's Adam here again and in this article, I'm going to help you find models to use for your alien opponents in MAJESTIC 13. No one really knows what aliens look like, so honestly, you can use anything you like. That said, here are some good examples for you to start looking:

Purchased Miniatures

Wargames Atlantic Harvesters Alien Bugs - These are great, scary alien bug monsters which will work great for some alien creatures in MAJESTIC 13. They come in different sizes as well, which is helpful, and can be easily posed and kit-bashed if you want.

WizKids Unpainted - I used some of these models for the aliens in the videos and photography for the game. They're fantasy RPG monsters - called the Mage Hunter and the Banderhobb - but they look suitably alien and the Turbo Dork Turboshift colors I used on them certainly helped make them look alien and not fantasy. You can find these models all over in shops and online, so find something you like and start painting!

Games Workshop Tyranids - Head into the website, type 'tyranids' in the search box, and you'll get access to so many aliens, you'll find it hard to choose. They sell other aliens, too - but these are probably the best.

Reaper Miniatures - Reaper Miniatures are also available at nearly any local game store, but you can also easily get them online if you don't have any stores near you. Tons of great alien monsters in this line.

Mantic Games Plague - Some of the Plague figures from Mantic Games' Deadzone and Firefight lines are terrifying abominations, and are excellent aliens for MAJESTIC 13. They're generally all powerful and vicious looking.

Privateer Press Monsterpocalpyse - Though these figures are supposed to be Godzilla-sized creatures, scale is a funny thing. Lots of great figures from the Terrasaurs, Lords of Cthul, and Planet Eaters factions.

3D Printed Miniatures

MyMiniFactory - Again, you can find so many STLs out there, I generally start here first and do some searching before I look anywhere else. Do some searches for terms like ‘alien’ and ‘creature’ and you’ll find some great monsters.

Happy modeling!
